Sanjay possesses 27 years of experience in private capital management, corporate finance and business management.

He is the Chairman of the Singapore Venture & Private Capital Association (SVCA), and also serves on the Executive Committee of the Singapore Funds Industry Group (SFIG).

In his current role as Chief Business Officer at the Everstone Group, Sanjay works across various facets of the business at this Singapore-headquartered private capital group, with over US$ 7 billion in assets under management across Private Equity, Climate Impact, Logistics, Digital and Venture, investing across India, Southeast Asia and the US-India-Southeast Asia corridor.

Prior to re-joining Everstone in 2018, Sanjay was Regional Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee at L Catterton Asia. 

Sanjay started his investing career with Everstone in 2006, where he was an Executive Director in its private equity business in India, prior to his move to L Capital Asia as Managing Director, India in 2011. Before moving to the buy-side in 2006, Sanjay spent 11 years in corporate finance advisory with Arthur Andersen (1995-2002), EY (2002-2004) and Ambit Corporate Finance (2004-2006) in India.

Education

Sanjay holds a post-graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (1995), is a commerce graduate from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University (1993) and attended the St. Columba’s School, New Delhi.
