Gaurav Kapoor spearheads the British Government’s c.$400m development capital investments in India and the country relationship with the UK’s Development Finance Institution British International Investment. In this role, he covers inclusive economic development, fostering new markets across sectors and regions and achievement towards the Global Goals 2030. Climate and tech investments are a key theme.

He has more than two decades work experience across private equity and venture capital investment funds, responsible PE/VC investments and inclusive corporate development having led several billion dollars of investment transactions.

Gaurav is a strong advocate for responsible and gender lens investing, and the role of standards notably on Environmental, Social and Governance and the need for information and transparency to boost India’s alternative asset industry and attract more domestic and global investors. He has been a speaker and jury member on several industry panels and conclaves such as IVCA, India Impact Investors Council, VCCircle, TiE, CNBC TV18.
