Anjani Bansal is the India Country Head and Partner at Global Brain (GB). He is focusing on building GB's portfolio of investments in India. GB has invested in over 300 companies globally, and achieved 27 IPOs and 61 M&As thus far. India is at the center of its growth strategy going forward. GB aims for rapid scale up of startups through partnerships with its deep network of global companies across a wide range of sectors.
GB also manages 12 strategic funds backed by large multinationals such as Mitsubishi, Sony, Epson, Mitsui and Kirin. It leverages these relationships to engineer expansion of startups beyond India. Anjani's multi-disciplinary experience across software development, finance, government policies, and early stage startups in sectors such as fintech, agriculture and food, education and healthcare - in India and Africa - will help startups grow in India and beyond.
Prior to GB, Anjani worked at Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, United Nations, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He holds bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (aerodynamics), master's degree in computer science (distributed computing), and an MBA. He also serves on government committees such as MEITY's XR startup program.
